Trip Itinerary

Day 1

Getting’ wet.
Start you day with a delicious breakfast. After loading our kayaks
and gear we begin our journey to kayaking paradise, The Quijos Valley. After outfitting our modern kayaks to insure a comfortable trip. We will then embark on a moderate paddle down a section of the Quijos River to work out the rust and get a taste of what is to come. We will then retire to a feast of local cuisine and trade river tales over some brews.

DAY 2

The Quijos is stunning whitewater and lush jungle scenery, paddlers dream. All depending on river levels we will pick from a variety of runs with plenty of wave trains and boofs to be had. Lunch on the water and a relaxing shuttle back to the lodge for another fabulous meal.

DAY 3

Paddle one of the many Quijos Valley Rivers followed by a tour to nearby Baeza for some cuisine and sight seeing. More landscapes and new river runs to be had. Lunch back at the lodge and then you are off to the next adventure.

Classic Local Rivers

Rio Quijos (Class III to V):

From its birth as a glacial creek on the flanks of the volcano Antisana to a huge river deep in the Amazon basin, the Quijos has over 100 miles of spectacular whitewater. It is a rain and partial snow fed river. The river is chock full of class 3 and class 4 rapids.
The upper runs are continuous and technical, while big water play spots abound in the lower canyons. The Baeza to Borja section has beautiful scenery and fun rapids.

Rio Cosanga Class III+ to IV+:

Experience lava cliffs, lush rain forests, tropical birds, and waterfalls hundreds of feet high while you paddle this river's three wonderfully technical runs. Runs vary from Class III+ to IV+.
